pattern making and prototyping

pattern making and prototyping

This workshop aims to create one or more prototypes per participant. It will start with an introduction to basic techniques of pattern making, such as basic patterns for pumps or oxford. From there all participants will have the opportunity to change a pattern to their own interpretation. Individual attention is given, so there is the opportunity to discuss further development of individual styles and prototypes depending on complexity and skill level.

Patterns are made by hand but some machines for prototyping are available for participants with experience in our shoe making lab.

After this course you will be able to express your ideas by creating your own prototypes.

The workshop is taught by  Eva Klabalova , expert shoemaker and a Professional Footwear Innovation SLEM alumni.
