Day Before
It’s the day before the opening and it’s the day of nines.
Everywhere there is music, rehearsals, last minute constructions, program announcements and signs being put up for the public. It all seems to be coming together.
The SLeM team is working hard and everything is ready for take off. Floris Leeuwenberg (Dutch photographer) arrived today and has made some beautiful photos of the preparation involved in assembling The Wind Nomads.
Not long afterward a photographer from The New York Times arrived on our location and took a lot of photos. She was also very enthusiastic about the rehearsal meal we had at the Parade area. We were all sitting at a huge, long table watching the servers deliver our food and all the while walking on the table like it was a fashion cat walk. In the evening there was a very impressive show from LAN on the other side of the island. I wonder which photo will end up in The New York Times tomorrow and what kind of a turn out we’ll get for the event.
Tomorrow we’ll find out!
